Our Pyle Astro 10.1 Tablet Review is a summary of the most important aspects of a tablet. Read the following for our full specs review for the Astro 10.1 Tablet.
Astro 10.1 Tablet Features
The processor on this tablet is the powerful Dual Core Allwinner A9 1.2 Ghz. Part of the reason why this tablet has great reviews is the fact that it runs smoothly despite being lower priced. Some have stated that it runs as fast as the higher priced Kindle Fire tablet!
The display has a resolution of 1024×600 dpi, which is pretty standard for a screen this size. We have not seen any reports of issues with graininess, and many are pleased with the graphics quality. You can have fun watching videos and playing games while enjoying the sights and sounds.
Although the Astro 7 inch tablet only comes with 4GB of storage, the Astro 10.1 comes with 8GB, and is even expandable to 32GB with a microSD card. So you get twice the amount of storage for only $30 more. 4GB is plenty of memory, but if you are looking forward to downloading plenty of apps from Google Play, this one will be more than sufficient.
Perhaps one of the strongest features of the Astro 10.1 is the fact that its rechargeable has an 8 hours battery life! The Astro 7 inch tablet only has 3 hours even though it is smaller. This makes a big difference when using this device away from any USB ports, or when you don’t want the hassle of using a tablet while it is plugged in. This tablet has a longer battery life than similar products of its price range.
Given the immense amount of battery life and the generous 10.1 screen size, this tablet weighs a hefty 3.11 pounds. While this is heavier than most tablets, if having a bigger display area is important to you, you can rest assured that this tablet still does not weigh as much as some of the others of its size.
The Astro 10.1 tablet runs on the Android 4.2 operating system. Traditionally, some tablet makers have tried their hand at altering the Android interface to make it their own, but not this one. If you are an avid Android user, you will easily recognize the interface, as it is the absolute Vanilla version of Android. On this Android interface, you will have direct access to Google Play, where your can choose from thousands of apps to suit your needs. Most of the available apps are fully compatible with this tablet.
The Astro 10.1 Inch tablet has made its mark as a high end tablet for a low end price. The reviews suggest that this tablet is engineered to be dependable and user friendly. It gives plenty of space for storage, a fast processing speed, and best of all… an immense amount of battery life for the low cost of $129 on Amazon!
