In our Akaso Kingpad A90 Tablet Review, we are going to go over the basic specs that must be considered when making a tablet purchasing decision.

Kingpad A90 Tablet Features

Processor

The Akaso A90 runs on the Allwinner A20 Dual Core processor. The Allwinner has become a popular processors for lower priced tablets, as they are fast and efficient. Many lower priced tablets tend to be sluggish in their app load times, but according to customer reviews, the load time is decent. There is a bit of chugging at times when loading larger applications, but this tends to be negligible.

Display

The Akaso’s screen resolution is decent, at 1024×600 dpi. This is pretty standard for a 9 inch tablet, and you wouldn’t want to go any lower. Although the graphics on this tablet are clear, if resolution is very important to you, I would suggest you view our Contixo 7 inch Tablet Review. It technically has the same 1024×600 dpi, but since it only has a 7 inch screen, the pixels have less area to cover, and are thus more concentrated a=and provide better quality.

Storage

The Akaso comes with 8GB of onboard storage. For most users, this is usually plenty of storage for app installations. In fact, most tablets at this price only offer 4GB of storage. Moreover, if you are looking for even more storage, this tablet allows you to expand to up to 32GB with a microSD card. This card must be purchased of course, but this is true of all tablets offering 32GB of storage.

Battery

The Akaso comes with a rechargeable lithium ion battery. When considering the battery life of a tablet, it is useful to know that any claims of a length of time that the tablet will run before having to charge it must be taken at face value. This is because the tests used are applying different factors to the running of the tablet.

As for the Akaso, one customer has reported that it has a rather short battery life. If you are looking for a tablet with a long battery life, reports have shown that the Conrixo 7 Inch Tablet can be run for long periods without needing to be plugged in.

Weight

This tablet weighs a mere 0.63 pounds. This is very light, especially considering the fact that it is a 9 inch tablet. Most tablets weigh anywhere between 0.6 to 3.5 pounds.

Software

The Akaso runs on the 4.2 Jelly Bean version of Android. This is one of the latest versions at the time of this writing, so you will not need to upgrade your installation for a while. Google Play store comes preinstalled, so you can access their whole suite of apps and games. Most apps on Google Play are compatible with this tablet.

HDMI Port

With the HDMI port, you can connect your tablet to a big screen TV or an HDMI capable computer monitor.

The Verdict

Overall, the Akaso Kingpad A90 Tablet is an excellent choice if you want to save some money and buy an affordable tablet. In depth reviews show that it is decent in every dimension, with no major issues.
